T-38 aircraft are a fixture of astronaut training, assisting pilots and mission specialists to think quickly in changing situations. Here, our T-38s fly in formation above the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket on historic Launch Pad 39B at @NASAKennedy.⁣ ⁣ SLS and the Orion spacecraft for the @NASAArtemis I mission will launch no earlier than Aug. 29, 2022, with a two-hour launch window that opens at 8:33 a.m. EDT (12:33 UTC). This will be the beginning of its six-week, uncrewed test flight around the Moon where it will travel farther than any Apollo mission before it.
