Snow on Mars
We think of Mars as being dry but in the winter time in the far north ice can form and fall down to settle onto the surface. What is different to the snow here from the water based snow we get here on Earth is the Martian snow is made up of mainly Carbon Dioxide and falls as small cube shaped crystals rather than our star shape flakes. #HiRISE #JPL #mars #NASA #Snow
